Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a primary anticorrosive coating compsn. being a two-pack type coating compsn. suitable for the topcoating of powdery coating, having corrosion resistance in thin film thickness and enhancing weldability by specifying the content of an org. additive in the non-volatile component contained in a dispersion.
CONSTITUTION: This primary anticorrosive coating compsn. is a two-pack type coating compsn. consisting of a soln. containing a partial hydrolysate of alkyl silicate as a main component and paste, and the content of the org. additive in the non-volatile substance contained in the paste is 0.4wt.% or less. The prepared paste is good in stability even when no org. caking inhibitor is used and, when the mixture of an alkyl silicate soln. and the paste is subjected to spray coating, the fine pulverization of a spray mist and the flowability of a wet film, that is, the leveling properties thereof are good and thin film coatability is enhanced. The pigment particles in the film are strongly bonded by alkyl silicate.
