PURPOSE: To provide a manufacture method for an optical glass polishing grind ing wheel which does not cause the structural change of the grinding wheel and a decline in its strength even when water soluble minute powder is eluted from the inside of the grinding wheel.

CONSTITUTION: An abrasive grain, thermosetting resin and solvent are mutually mixed, and after the volatilization of the solvent, undergo the processes of pulverization compression molding and sintering for manufacturing the grinding wheel whose abrasive grains are mutually firmly joined with the thermosetting resin. After the grinding wheel is then dipped in saturated water solution in which water soluble minute powder is dissolved to make the solution permeate the inside of the grindstone, the water soluble minute powder is recrystallized in the inside of the grinding wheel.
