PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harness manufacturing method, which comprises both terminal crimping and pressure welding, and a pressure welding device or the like for the method.
SOLUTION: A terminal is crimped against one end of a wire 14, the other terminal is pressure welded to a pressure welding connector 11, and the terminals are inserted into a housing. A plurality of pressure welding connectors 11 are arranged in parallel on a connector holding beam 26, and the holding beam 26 or a pressure welding machine 25 is moved horizontally so that the wire is pressure welded to the desired connector 11. The wire 14 is set in a chuck part by the operator, and the chuck part is moved horizontally to supply the wire 14 to a pressure connection blade 32. A wire guide is located one each side of the blade 32. The chuck part rises and falls integrally with the blade. The holding beam 26 has a plurality of connector fitting recesses. Either the pressure welding machine 25 or the holding beam moves horizontally. The pressure welding machines 25 are provided by one pair or more at the top and the bottom, so that the terminals are pressure welded to both sides of the connector from above and below the holding beam 26. During pressure welding, the connector may be supported by a wire guide from the side opposite to the pressure welding.
