Title:
MANUFACTURE OF HEAT BONDED FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5876476
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effect cloth-cloth firm bonding with soft touch by the application to a cloth of an adhesive prepared by incorporating an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer powder in a mixture of each specific polyamide resin powder and polyester resin powder, and by heating under pressure to the melting point of said adhesive or higher, followed by cooling.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive comprising (1) 100pts.wt. of the sum of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyamide resin powder having a particle size ≤210μ with incipient flow temperature 110W140°C (pref. laurylolactam, or a mixture of laurylolactam with 30W55wt% of 11-aminoundecanoic acid), and (B) 10W200pts.wt. of a polyester resin powder having the same particle size and incipient flow temperature as those of said polyamide resin powder (pref. containing 20W50mol% of adipic acid as an acid component) and (2) 5W40pts.wt. of an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer powder having a particle size ≤210μ (pref. containing 8W25wt% of acrylic acid) is applied to a cloth in solid state and heated to its melting point or higher under pressure followed by cooling into solidification to effect cloth- cloth bonding.

EFFECT: Exhibiting excellent wash resistance and low temperature bonding performance.
