Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a manufacture of hydrogen storage alloy electrode hard to cause short-circuit accidents in the case of incorporating into a battery.
CONSTITUTION: A punching metal sheet 3 in which zigzag check patterns composed of aperture parts A1, A2, A3, A4 and non-aperture parts 3b1, 3b2, 3b3, 3c are formed is continuously dipped through hydrogen storage alloy powder slurry so that the slurry is held by the above punching metal sheet so as to be dried. And the punching sheet is cut into sheet pieces, which are rolling treated, wound up, and formed into the winding shapes. In a hydrogen storage alloy electrode manufacture, the sheet pieces are wound in the X axis direction around Y axis so that apertures 3a1, 3a2 of the aperture parts constantly exist in the right angles direction the winding direction and the winding direction and rolling direction are made to coincide with each other.
