Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automate durable welding by welding a plate on a blade using an optical welding head which is moved along the inside of a sectioned passage and which is output-supplied by a flexible optical fiber.
CONSTITUTION: The high energy beam output of YAG laser 36 is such that the beam 20 is guided by an optical fiber 18 and outputted to a welding focal point 22 by an optical welding head 16. The abutting face 28 between the blade 4 tip on the base annular plate 2 of an impeller and the cover annular plate 10 is welded such that the optical welding head 16 is positioned by a guiding means to form a side weld fillet 24 while being moved along the length L of the blade 4.
