PURPOSE: To enable the positioning for cutting to be achieved exactly irrespectively of the shape of the surface pattern by a method in which when the surface pattern is given to uncured inorganic plate by a press, positioning grooves are simultaneously press-formed at the peripheral edge of the press body.
CONSTITUTION: While the recessed part 2 for giving tile pattern and the projected parts 3 for forming joints are provided on a press mold 1, the projection 5 for forming positioning grooves are provided at the position corresponding to the end of the uncured inorganic plate 4 to be press-worked. The projection 5 has the T-shape in a plan, and the projected amount of its head 5a is large, and then the upper surface of the part 5b crossing said part 5a, is inclined. The uncured inorganic plate 4 is superimposed on the press mold 1 provided with such projections 5 and is pressed. While a prescribed pattern of surface tile 6 is formed on the plate 4, the positioning grooves 7 are formed by the projections 5. The plate 4 is cut by the standard given by the positioning grooves 7 after curing.
