Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture an insulator with a top groove without requiring preliminary machining of body and having shade swells.
CONSTITUTION: Body cut to the prescribed length is put in a die set with a top die 6 provided with symmetrical upheavals 7, 7 on both sides of a protruded stripe 5 for molding a top groove, it is preliminarily molded by the round trowel molding method, then finish molding is applied by a cutting cutter, The density difference of a preliminary molding is eliminated by the action of the upheavals 7, 7, and a shade swell is resolved.
