PURPOSE: To provide a secondary battery having high energy density, excellent cycle characteristics and high reliability by using a negative electrode prepared via a process where a carbon material is preliminarily mixed with a solid organic substance and molded, and then heated up to a temperature equal to or above the carbonization start temperature of the solid organic substance, regarding a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery containing lithium salt.
CONSTITUTION: Regarding a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery having a positive electrode 1 with reversibility for charging and discharging processes, a nonaqueous electrolyte containing lithium, and a negative electrode 2, at least one material selected among polyacrylonitrite, cellulose, fran resin, pitch and rayon is added to a carbon material. This material is, then, baked at a temperature within the range of 600°C to 1000°C for use as the negative electrode 2.
