PURPOSE: To obtain an optical information carrier disc having a high-quality track groove by a method in which a mask to regulate the amount of permeation of ultraviolet rays is provided to a pressure glass plate, the hardening condition of UV resin on the periphery of the disc base plate is controlled, and the manufacturing process is cleaned.
CONSTITUTION: A transparent disc base plate 3 is placed through an ultraviolet- ray curable resin layer 4 on the surface of a stamper 1. A transparent pressure plate 5 in which a mask 10 to regulate the amount of permeation of ultraviolet rays is provided in the corresponding part from near the periphery to the outside of the disc base plate 3 is placed on the disc base plate 3. The mask 10 is made of a sheet entirely impervious to ultraviolet rays. The ultraviolet rays- curable resin 4 is hardened by irradiation of ultraviolet rays to the disc base plate 3, and then the ultraviolet rays-hardened resin 4 with the disc base plate 3 is separated from the stamper 1 to obtain a desired optical information carrier disc.
