Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a high quality of design with an inexpensive material by coloring a recess of a cooling roll and attaching a coloring material to a protrusion of a patterning sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A metal roll whose conduit embossed part consists of an intaglio is made to be a cooling roll 2 of a melt extruder. The cooling roll 2 is dipped in an ink in an ink pan 6 so as to fill the intaglio with a conduit coloring ink 8. Extra ink is scraped by a doctor 5 provided immediately after the pan. Hot blast is sprayed on the cooling roll 2 for drying the coloring ink 8, so that a solvent is diffused from the coloring ink 8 and volumetric shrinkage is generated so as to be attached to an embossed wall face. To the cooling roll 2 in this state, a melting thermoplastic resin 4 is extruded from a T die 1 of the melt extruder. The coloring ink 8 is softened by the heat of the thermoplastic resin 4 and moves to the thermoplastic resin 4 from the metal face of the cooling roll 2. Lastly, it is cooled and solidified in between the cooling roll 2 and a nip roll 3, dried, and taken up.
