Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a plate-like FRM preform and a composite body for producing blades or rotors for an aircraft engine compressor.
The plate-like FRM preform consists of wire-shaped preforms 3, each consisting of a fiber reinforcement 2 formed into the shape of final composite body and flattened and a vapor-deposited film of matrix metal 1 each vapor-deposited onto the outside peripheral surface of the fiber reinforcement 2, and a matrix metal foil 5 provided in a manner to be orthogonal to the wire-shaped preforms 3 and joined to the matrix metal 1 by micro spot welding.
