Abstract:
PURPOSE: To mold a crack-free R-Fe-B-based magnet by performing a pressing and stamping operation in a hot manner.
CONSTITUTION: When a sheetlike rare-earths permanent magnet material is pressed and stamped in a hot manner, the sheet material is pressed and stamped in a state that it is fixed by a sheet retainer 3 and that a part to be stamped is sandwiched between a bottom-sheet retainer 5 and a punch 2. Alternatively, it is pressed and stamped in a state that a metal mold is heated in advance or always. When it is pressed, a crack produced by a shearing stress is eliminated, and the dimensional accuracy of the title magnet is enhanced.
