Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a highly reliable reinforced hose, in which no combination of different kinds of materials presents, by a method wherein the end parts of the hose, which consists of an inner layer, an outer layer and a reinforcing fiber layer, are seated in a mold so as to fill the cavity with the material same as the material of the inner layer and of the outer layer in order to form non-fibrous layers at the ends of the hose, and finally joint fittings are caulked to the ends, in a high pressure hose having the joint fittings at the ends of a vehicular brake hose.

CONSTITUTION: An inner layer 3 made of elastomeric rubber material is formed onto a mandrel 4. Next, a reinforcing fiber layer 2 made of twist yarn of synthetic fiber such as polyester fiber, polyamide fiber or the like is formed onto the inner layer 3. Further, elastomeric rubber material same as that of the inner layer 3 covers onto the reinforcing layer 2 in order to form a hose. An integral matter consisting of the inner layer 3, an outer layer 1 and the reinforcing fiber layer 2, all of which are formed during the above process, is seated in a mold, the temperature of which is heated up to the vulcanizing temperature of the elastomeric material and pressurized with a molding press so as to apply the materials of the inner layer 3 and of the outer layer 1 in a cavity formed between both the ends of a hose 7 and the mold to perfectly seal between the inner layer 3 and the outer layer 1. Joint fittings 6 are respectively inserted into both the ends of the hose 7, and sockets 62 are respectively caulked so as to integrally fix the joint fittings 6 to the hose 7.
