Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture an emulsion of high sensitivity with a small fog by using a new thioether compound.
CONSTITUTION: A new thioether compound is represented by a formula I. In the formula, it represents H, alkyl group and aryl group by R1, R2, alkylene group by R3 and 1 to 3 integers by (n). The new thioether compound is preferably added at silver halide precipitation producing time and its continued physical digestion time or at chemical digestion time, at the time of manufacturing an emulsion. In this way, the emulsion, formed of silver halide of large grain size, is obtained.
