Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly maintain the inner peripheral surface of a lining layer, and to guarantee the stable operation of a drive shaft by machining after releas ing surely in an annealing process a stress applied to the lining layer.
SOLUTION: For this bearing, the sliding bearing 12 is manufactured from a sheet shaped stock 1 equipping with a back plate 2 and the lining layer 5 provided integrally on this back plate. First, the sheet shaped stock is rolled in a skin pass process, after bending the sheet shaped stock in a cylindrical shape in a following bending process, and after performing the annealing process releasing the stress applied to the lining layer at the time of the skin pass process and at the time of the bending process, a machining process machining the inner peripheral surface of the lining layer, is performed.
