Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a steel which is inexpensive and excellent in rust prevention with a rust-preventive oil by re-heating a cast slab having the prescribed composition consisting of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr and Fe at the prescribed temperature, hot-rolling it, winding it at the prescribed temperature, keeping it for the prescribed time, and cooling it.
SOLUTION: A molten steel having the composition consisting of, by weight, 0.005-0.1% C, 0.05-1.5% Si, 0.05-1.5% Mn, ≤0.2% P, ≤0.05% S, and 5-18% Cr, and containing at least one kind of 0.1-2.5% Mo, 0.1-2.5% Cu, and 0.1-2.5% Ni, as necessary, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, is cast. The obtained slab is re-heated to 1100-1300°C, and then, hot-rolled, and wound in a coil at a high temperature of ≥550°C. After the hot-rolled steel is kept at ≥550°C for at least 30 minutes, it is cooled. Porous oxide scales are formed on the surface of the obtained steel, and the rust prevention can be kept even for damages because the impregnated rust-preventive oil is left behind even when the steel is brought into contact with foreign matters.
