Title:
MANUFACTURE OF STRETCHED AND BLOWN CONTAINER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57185119
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a stretched and blown container improved in the gas barrier properties, by producing the container using specified gases as pressurized fluid that is used when a parison of a thermoplastic resin is blow molded.

CONSTITUTION: In a method wherein a thermoplastic resin is injection molded or extruded into a parison, and the parison is stretched and blow molded into a container, at least one of gases selected from carbon dioxide, nitrogen, helium, neon, argon, krypton and xenon is employed as a pressurized fluid at the time of the blow molding. As a thermoplastic resin used is preferred polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl chloride/vinylidene chloride copolymer, polyacrylonitrile, or the like. It is desirable that during the period from the time when the container has been blow molded to the time when contents are loaded into the container, the container is filled with said inert gas, or stored in an atmosphere of said inert gas, which will result in the improvement in the gas barrier properties after the loading of the container.
