To provide a manufacturing method of an alloy composition in which low-melting point metal, such as titanium, and large amounts of high-melting point metal, such as molybdenum, tantalum, niobium, and tungsten, are practically homogeneously melted together.
This method is a manufacturing method of a practically homogenous titanium-base master alloy containing large amounts of molybdenum. A molybdenum powder and a titanium powder are mixed in a proportion fit to produce a powder charge body. This powder charge body is compacted into shape of briquettes. The briquettes are alloyed in a solid condition until practically homogenous state is reached in order to prepare a titanium- molybdenum master alloy, and this master alloy is solidified by cooling.
