Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive manufacturing method for an amino-functional organopolysiloxane having low cyclic compound content and good storage stability.

This manufacturing method for the amino-functional organopolysiloxane comprises (i) a step for mixing an aminosilane (A), an organosilicone compound (B), a basic catalyst (C) and, optionally, an alcohol (D), (ii) a step for reacting the mixture by heating to 70-100°C, and (iii) a step following the reaction of (ii) for neutralizing the basic catalyst by adding a neutralizing agent that forms a salt with the basic catalyst. The salt thus formed is soluble to an amino-functional organopolysiloxane obtained by the method.
