To provide a manufacturing method of an optical fiber cable that enables forming, on a jacket, of an uneven pattern capable of suppressing snow accretion.
An optical fiber cable 1a includes an element part 16 having a rectangular shape sandwiched between a pair of rollers 34a and 34b opposed to each other rotating about a pair of axes 35a and 35b respectively. A manufacturing method of an optical fiber cable includes the steps of: pulling the optical fiber cable 1a at a prescribed linear speed; applying a pressing load to at least one of the pair of axes 35a and 35b in the opposing direction of the pair of rollers 34a and 34b; and transferring an uneven pattern formed on a surface of the pair of rollers 34a and 34b to a jacket of the element part 16 against which the surfaces of the pair of rollers are pressed.
