Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of artificial hair capable of imparting a curl with a desired shape; and to provide artificial hair to which a high quality curl is imparted.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of artificial hair having a fiber bundle 2 formed by bundling multiple fibers 3, in which a part of the fiber bundle 2 is extended helically or spirally, includes: a winding step for winding a part of the fiber bundle 2 around a rod-like body helically or spirally; a heating step for heating the fiber bundle 2 wound around the outer periphery of the rod-like body; and a heat release step for releasing heat to room temperature from the fiber bundle 2 heated in the heating step. In the heating step, heating is executed by adjusting at least either of a heating temperature and a heating time so that a shrinkage ratio of the fiber bundle 2 in the heat release step falls within a prescribed range, based on a shrinkage ratio of the fibers 3 and on a glass-transition temperature of the fibers 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
