Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a battery electrode with improved battery capacity by applying active material coating on a collector made of thin foils.
SOLUTION: Electrolytic nickel foils are put under a three-dimensional process such as embossing to make up a collector 2 thicker than the foils, on both faces of which is coated to form an active material layer 1 with the use of a pair of dies 3. The active material layer 3 is then dried and pressed. Since the thin electrolytic nickel foils are processed into the thick collector and put through between the pair of the dies 3, the collector 2 passes exactly the center position of the dies 3.
