To manufacture a good quality brush by compressing and feeding bundles of bristles into a bristle bundle insertion hole, forming the projection end part of the bundles of bristles in molten lumps having a larger section than that of the bristle insertion hole, and incorporating a formation mold in an injection molding device to form by injection molding so that the molten lumps are located within a handle formation mold.
On an insertion of bristle bundles, bristle bundles 1 are compressed and closely guided to a tightening plate 18 by a bristle bundle pusher 17, fed to a bristle bundle insertion hole 11 of a formation mold 10 and one end of the bundles of bristles is protruded toward a bristle bundle presser 19. In line with this, the protruded end parts are formed in molten lumps 3 having a larger section than that of the bristle bundle insertion 11 by a heating means such as a bristle bundle melting heater 20. A formation mold 10 is incorporated in an injection molding device 9 so that the molten lumps 3 are located within a handle formation molds 4, 41 and the injection molding is performed. Thereby, the molten lumps 3 are embedded in the formation material within the cavity 42 and a good quality brush which is high in plantation strength and which is low in scattering, is obtained.
