Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon fiber bundle having high physical properties, which hardly causes breakage of a single filament even if carbonizing while applying high tension when flame-proofing and carbonizing a carbon fiber precursor fiber having a large number of filaments.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a carbon fiber bundle comprises the steps of: forming entanglement having a degree of intermingle of 12 to 45 [cm-1] between carbon fiber precursor fibers; causing an oil solution of 0.12 to 0.40 [mass%] as a nonvolatile content to be carried on the carbon fiber precursor fibers; and then flame-proofing and carbonizing the carbon fiber precursor fiber, thereby forming a carbon fiber bundle having the bundle fineness of 1,200 [tex] or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
