This manufacturing method uses a form block, formed by an upper mold M1 (middle mold) having a projecting part 72 (intermediate forming part), a lower mold M2, a front mold M3 having a terminal storing chamber forming part 84, and a rear mold M4 having a terminal storing chamber forming part 88 and disposed opposite to the front mold M3. The respective terminal storing chamber forming parts 84, 88 of the front mold M3 and the rear mold M4 strike the projecting part 72 of the upper mold M1 for putting the forming block in the closed state, thereby forming a cavity for forming a housing in the forming block. After the interior of the cavity is filled with a forming material, and molds are released, to obtain a housing 20 having a recessed part 29, opened and extending in the cross direction on the upper part of the housing, and having a partition 23 of a terminal storing chamber 22 which is parted into a front partition 23a and a rear partition 23b by the recessed part 29.
