Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the manufacturing processes and the cost of guide drums by stretch forming stainless drums by a press machine.
CONSTITUTION: A rectangular 18W8 stainless plate of 0.5W2mm thick is cut out. A drum 1 is formed by rolling the stainless plate by a rolling mill, then both end portions of the drum 1 is stretch-fromed in a funnel-shape having taper faces 1a and flanges 1c by a press machine using a conical die thus manufacturing a guide drum.
