To provide a manufacturing method of a display board for an automotive display device through which excellent luminescence quality of a luminescence part formed in the display board and increased production efficiency of the display board are achieved.
A manufacturing method of a display board 26 includes: an aperture forming step S2 for forming apertures 30a, b that allow transmission of light by partially forming a non-transmission printing layer 30, which blocks each light beam from LEDs 36a, b, on a substrate 28; and a transmittance adjusting printing layer forming step S3 for forming transmittance adjusting printing layers 32a, b with different light transmittance at each of the apertures 30a, b as light-emitting parts 34a, b, by controlling an injection amount of particulate shading ink through ink jet printing. Especially in the printing layer forming step S3, one-time ink jet printing changes the injection amount of shading ink at each of the apertures 30a, b in printing operation that forms a printing layer at all apertures.
