Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing an electric motor which controls fastening torque of a fastening member for fastening and fixing a bearing.

The electric motor 14 comprises a motor rotor 18, a motor stator 20, and a bearing 22 which is fixed to a housing 12 and rotatably supports the motor rotor 18. The bearing 22 includes an inner ring 30, an outer ring 32, and a cylindrical roller 34 disposed so as to roll between the inner ring 30 and the outer ring 32. In the method of manufacturing the electric motor 14, the start torque of the electric motor 14 is measured when the bearing 22 is assembled into the housing 12. When the measurement result is out of a set value, the fastening torque of a bolt 38 or a bolt 42 is adjusted to set the start torque of the electric motor 14 to the set value (prescribed value).
