Abstract:

To provide an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with excellent cycle characteristics, through effective restraint of problems of an active material pulverized due to expansion or contraction.

The manufacturing method of the electrode for a secondary battery includes a process of forming an active material layer 3 by coating an active material slurry containing active materials 5a, 5b on at least one of the faces of a porous member 4 to be a carrier, and a process of jointing the active material layer 3 carried by the porous member 4 to a collector 2. An average pore size of the porous member 4 is to be smaller than d50 and larger than d10 in an accumulated particle size distribution of the active materials 5a, 5b.
