Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel production method which uses, as the raw materials, e.g. ammonium paratungstate, which has been generally used conventionally, and prepares tungsten fine powder without a complicated process, e.g. tungsten powder of from the micron order to the nano level.SOLUTION: A method for producing tungsten fine powder includes the steps in which: as the raw materials used are ammonium metatungstate (AMT), ammonium paratungstate (APT), tungstic acid (HWO), or tungsten trioxide (WO) obtained by calcining them, and in an ammonia (NH) atmosphere they are reduced at 600-700°C, to obtain a reaction product containing tungsten oxynitride (W(ON)); and in which the reaction product containing tungsten oxynitride (W(ON)) is reduced with hydrogen in a hydrogen atmosphere at 700-850°C, to obtain tungsten fine powder.SELECTED DRAWING: None
