Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of a gas diffusion member that is advantageous for improving the tensile resistance property of a sheet and advantageous for reducing the blending amount of a pulp material having unevenness in quality, for further improving the reliability, and a manufacturing method of a gas diffusion material, and to provide the gas diffusion material.

A liquid material in which a conductive material having conductivity, a pulp material that can be burnt off by fire, and a resin fiber are the main components is prepared. Paper treatment is applied to the liquid material, and by separating a liquid part and a solid part of the liquid material and accumulating the solid part, the sheet (corresponding to the gas diffusion material), in which the conductive material and the pulp material are the main components, is formed. By heat treating the sheet, since the pulp material, contained in the sheet is burnt off and fine pores are increased inside the sheet, the gas diffusion member, having the gas diffusion characteristics, is formed.
