Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of high-strength coke that enables the manufacture of high-strength coke at a low cost even when coal of low quality is used.

The manufacturing method of high-strength coke comprises dry-distilling a blended coal, where blending conditions of the blended coal are decided based on the pore-growing parameter R, which is a ratio of the pressure P to the viscosity of a softening and melting layer of coal in the heating process, represented by formula (2): R=P/ (2). In the formula, R is the pore-growing parameter [1/s]; P is the pressure [Pa] in the softening and melting layer of coal; and is the viscosity [Pa s] of the softening and melting layer of coal.
