To provide a manufacturing method of a honeycomb structure capable of preventing troubles which have frequently occurred in a product manufacturing process caused by an adhering product having been adhered to a matter to be he produced when a product obtained by sintering a honeycomb formed body is manufactured.
In the manufacturing method of the honeycomb structure wherein the honeycomb structure consisting of a honeycomb sintered body is manufactured by preparing a cylindrical honeycomb formed body wherein many cells are arranged side by side in a longitudinal direction across a cell wall and sintering the honeycomb formed body, a process for removing the adhering product adhered to the surface of the honeycomb formed body after sintering the honeycomb formed body is included.
