Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical film capable of preventing wrinkles from occurring in a film-like transparent film base material while irradiating with active energy rays of a sufficient exposure dose for cure.SOLUTION: An optical film is manufactured through: an alignment layer formation process for forming an alignment layer on a surface of a transparent film base material (steps S201-S203); a coating process for coating a liquid crystal material curable by irradiation of ultraviolet light on the alignment layer (step S204); an irradiation process for irradiating the liquid crystal material with ultraviolet light, with a rear face of the transparent film base material not contacting with another component (step S206); and an irradiation process for irradiating the liquid crystal material with active energy rays, with the rear face of the transparent film base material contacting a drum (step S207).
