Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of light guide components with a grating capable of easily performing precise control of optical characteristics and improving yield.
A light guide is heated up to a prescribed temperature with a heater 9 when a refractive index change is induced to a core of the light guide to form the grating while the optical characteristics of the light guide of an optical fiber 5 or the like. Thereby the grating can be formed while a thermally unstable part is removed. Particularly, a method for condensing and irradiating a femt-second pulse laser 2 is preferable as a means for inducing the refractive index change in the core. In addition, a prescribed temperature is preferably 300°C or more.
