The storing tool 10 for the connection excessive length of the optical fiber is provided with a cylindrical optical fiber winding shaft 11, a storing groove 12 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the optical fiber winding shaft 11 and capable of storing the optical fiber connection part 1 and an optical fiber run-out grooves 13 formed so that the excessive length part 2 can be stored by winding an optical fiber 2 connected with the optical fiber connection part 1 in the circumferential direction of the optical fiber winding shaft 11 and communicating with the storing groove 12.
