Abstract:
To efficiently manufacture an organic EL display device superior in display performance.
In the case one pixel of the organic EL display device having an organic light emitting layer 240 between a first electrode 230 and a second electrode 250 is not lighted, the organic light emitting layer 240 of that pixel is observed from the first electrode layer side. As a result, if a foreign material 300 is contained in the organic light emitting layer 240 of that pixel, the second electrode 250 is separated into a contact region 250a with the foreign material 300 and a region 250b which is contacted with neither that region 250a nor the foreign material 300.
