Abstract:

To shorten time spent on a sealing process and improve production efficiency of a panel body.

This is a manufacturing method of a panel body to manufacture the panel body by sealing a first glass substrate and a second glass substrate, and a local heating is made by irradiating laser beams having an oscillation wavelength in a range of wavelength 500-1,600 nm on a sealing member, and the sealing member is a molding of belt-shape or rod-shape made of a low melting-point glass. The low melting-point glass contains in mol% in substance P2O5 20-45%, SnO 20-40%, ZnO 25-50%, B2O3 0-10%, MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO 0-15%, Al2O3+In2O3+WO3=0-10%, and the softening point of the low melting -point glass is 380-540C, and the average thermal expansion coefficient at 30-300C is 6010-7 to 10010-7/C. The light transmittance of the low melting-point glass to the oscillation wavelength of the laser beams is 60% or less against the thickness of 1 mm.
