Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of high productive manufacturing of a rim wheel suppresses vibrations transmitted to a car, improves a riding quality, reduces noises inside the car, and reduces possible causes of a failure such as defective welding, while assuring a high maneuvering stability.
SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a rim wheel having a plurality of sub air chambers and a connecting part, forming a Helmholtz resonant absorber, comprises the steps of (a) forming an upper wall 3 as well as a bottom part of a rim 2 when casting the rim wheel, (b) welding or adhering a vertical wall between the upper wall 3 and the bottom part of the rim 2, and (c) boring the communicating part in the upper wall 3. A side wall is also formed while casting the rim wheel when the bottom part of the rim 2 and the upper wall 3 are formed.
