Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rim wheel and its manufacturing method capable of high productive manufacturing of a rim wheel which attains a long term assurance of suppressed vibrations transmitted to a car, an improved riding quality and reduced noises inside the car, while maintaining a high maneuvering stability and avoiding a weight increase.
SOLUTION: The rim wheel comprises a plurality of sub air chambers which are formed by a rim 2, a vertical wall 3, and an annular rubber member 5, and divided by a plurality of sidewalls 9. A communicating part 8 is provided on the annular rubber member 5 for communicating a tire main air chamber 11 with the sub air chamber 6. A Helmholtz resonant absorber is formed by the sub air chamber 6 and the communicating part 8. The method of manufacturing the rim wheel comprises a step of forming the vertical wall 3 integrally with the rim 2 when casting the rim wheel, and a step of fixing the annular rubber member 5 with a plurality of communicating parts 8 bored corresponding to each sub air chamber 8, between the vertical wall 3 of the formed rim 2 and one bead sheet 4.
