Abstract:
To provide a titanium sintered base material having high strength and high toughness while reducing production cost.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a titanium sintered base material includes: a step of preparing 90 wt.% or more of hydrotreated hydrogenated titanium powder in a range of a particle size of 10 μm or less, and 90 wt.% or more of titanium powder in a range of a particle size of 10 μm or more and 150 μm or less and having an average particle size of 20 μm or more; a step of mixing the hydrogenated titanium powder and the titanium powder so that an amount of the hydrogenated titanium powder is 15% or more and 75% or less with respect to the total amount based on the weight; and a step of sintering the mix-treated mixed powder to obtain a titanium sintered base material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
