A direction/distance mark indicating direction lines, plural equidistant circles with a reference point on a map screen as their center, and distances and the like from the reference point of each equidistant circle is displayed on a map with respect to the reference point. An indication point on the screen touched by a user is detected as a point indicating a direction on the direction/distance mark and a distance from the reference point, and a map including the point is displayed. This allows the user to perform scrolling from a currently displayed map to a desired map by one touch. An equidistant range specification map, an arbitrary range specification map, a POI display map and the like can be displayed by using the same direction/distance mark.
