PURPOSE: To strengthen the close adhesiveness of a mark and a carpet, by a method wherein the base cloth surface of the carpet is preliminarily placed so as to be contacted with a hot platen held to a specific temp. and the mark held to a specific temp. is pressed to the carpet from the side of the sheet for constituting the mark by a mark mold.
CONSTITUTION: The base cloth surface of a carpet is placed so as to be contacted with a hot platen held at 150W280°C and a thermoplastic rubber sheet or a synthetic resin sheet for constituting the mark is placed on the desired surface position of the carpet. In this state, the carpet and the sheet are pressed from the sheet side by a mark mold held at 40W140°C to perform weld molding by conductive heat from the hot platen and the mold. Because the sheet 3 is welded to the pile surface 4 of the carpet by conductive heat from the hot platen 6 and the mark mold 1, as the base cloth material 5, it is necessary to select a material which is not softened and shrunk by the temp. of the hot platen 6 and is not stretched even under high compression force.
