PURPOSE: To efficiently prepare a molded article having a uniform thickness, by using a mold plate which is provided with a large number of perforations or grooves communicated with the outside by drilling and constituted of a material capable of being induced to a magnet.
CONSTITUTION: One surface of a mold plate 1 is adhered to the surface of a thermoplastic resin sheet material and the other surface side thereof is made air-permeable through each perforation 3 of the mold plate 1 so as to be communicated with the outside. In order to widen the mutual interval between the opposed mold plates 1 in such a state that both surfaces of the thermoplastic resin sheet material are thermally stuck to the opposed surfaces of the mold plate 1, said mold plates are positioned between the mold platens of a compression molding machine and a magnet is adhered to each mold platen to attract each of the mold plates 1. Because the mold plates holding the sheet material therebetween are also prepared from a material capable of being induced to the magnet, the fixation and detachment of the mold plate can be made easy and the molded article can be efficiently prepared.
