Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enriching Cr and/or maintaining a Cr content already contained by aluminizing a region used at comparatively high temperature and masking a region used at comparatively low temperature for preventing aluminizing.SOLUTION: A mask 200 used for aluminizing a superalloy turbine component such as a turbine blade contains Cr-containing powder, nickel-containing powder and refractory powder. Aluminizing of a masked region is prevented, and a Cr content is enriched and/or the Cr content already existing due to superalloy chemistry or preceding chromizing processing is maintained.
