PURPOSE: To coat a material to be coated with high-quality images having a stereoscopic feel.

CONSTITUTION: A masking jig J to be magnetized to the material to be coated consists of a magnet sheet 1 having a frame part 2 and an image part 3. This image part 3 is divided to plural pieces of small pieces which are independently attachable and detachable. For example, plural pieces of the small pieces corresponding to the flower parts of the images are removed and a red coating material is applied on the material to be coated by an air brush; thereafter, the other small pieces exclusive of one piece of the small piece 4e are magnetized like (A) and these parts are shaded with a black coating material like (B). These operations are successively repeated with the respective small pieces 4a, 4b.... The leaf parts and bud parts of the images are similarly coated and thereafter, a clear coating material is applied thereon.
