Abstract:

To provide a coating method for obtaining a cubic boron nitride film having excellent adhesiveness to a base material.

A plurality of straight grooves having the one-dimensional or two-dimensional regularity are formed in a surface of a base material containing no ferrous metal, or of a base material containing ferrous metal while sealing the catalytic effect of the ferrous metal, and cubic boron nitride is coated thereon to enhance the film adhesiveness in the vertical direction of the grooves.
