MATERIAL INDICATION METHOD FOR FRP MOLDED ARTICLE

PURPOSE: To correctly identify a material indication of a hand lay up FRP molded article provided on the rear surface of the FRP molded article from outside for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: A gel coat 5 serving as an outer surface is applied to a mold area of a mold 3 through a releasant 4. Thereon, a glass mat 6 of a reinforced fiber impregnated with an unsatd. polyester resin is overlapped and a glass mat 7 of a similar material is further overlapped. These are sufficiently pressed against the mold area by a roller or a brush. A printed matter 2 with a material indication is placed on at an arbitrary position. Thereon, a transparent surfacing mat 8 made of, for example, a glass fiber impregnated with an unsatd. polyester resin is placed. These are pressed by a roller, brush, or other pressing tool 9 and cured at the same time. In this manner, an obtained FRP molded article is provided with the embedded printed matter covered with the transparent surfacing mat 8 on the rear surf ace thereof.
