Abstract:

To provide a material and a method for fixing radioactivchlorine which adsorb a lot of it and can fix chlorine stably.

This solidifying material of radioactivchlorine includes alumina cement of 15 to 17 wt.% and the remaining is made of a calcium compound. The alumina cement is made of at least one selected from the first, second, third, fourth and fifth categories in the Japan Industrial Standards(JIS). The calcium compound is composed of at least one selected from calcium hydroxide, (Ca(OH)2), calcium oxide(CaO), calcium carbonate(CaCO3), calcium sulfate(CaSo4), calcium sulfite(CaSO3) and calcium nitrate(Ca(No3)2).
